The Vega Native API reference documents every interface, struct, enumeration, and exception the Vega Native SDK exposes to C++ apps. It’s generated from the SDK interface definitions, so it stays in step with the headers you compile against. The reference has its own navigation, separate from these guides. Each area below links to its package reference, where you’ll find the types, methods, parameters, and return values for that area.

How the reference is organized

Each area corresponds to one or more SDK packages. A package reference opens with a landing page that lists the package contents, followed by a page per declared type, grouped into interfaces, structs, enumerations, and exceptions. Areas that span several packages — networking and user input, for example — nest one entry per package, so you can tell a client interface from a server or common one.

Media and graphics

  • Audio — audio management, streams, focus, effects, patches, and system sounds.
  • Graphics — surfaces, buffers, and composition.
  • W3C Media — media playback through the W3C Media Source and Encrypted Media interfaces.
  • Media Descriptor — codec, profile, and format descriptors.
  • Media Controls — playback control and transport state.
  • Media Buffer — buffer queues for passing frames between components.
  • HDMI Control Manager — HDMI-CEC control and local device state.
  • Text-to-Speech — speech synthesis and speech stream listeners.
