Merchant portal reports

About your portal reports

The Just Walk Out (JWO) merchant portal gives you a curated set of reports covering orders, sales, refunds, catalog, cart activity, and payments. This page explains what each report contains, the columns you can expect, how often it refreshes, and when to use one report over another.

Two things determine which reports you see and how current they are:

1) How your store is configured: Different stores are set up in different ways depending on the products and integration you use with Amazon. Your store's configuration determines which reports apply to it. This is why two stores may not have the exact same set of reports available.

2) The refresh cadence of each report: Some reports refresh daily, some weekly, and the sales dashboard refreshes throughout the day. A report will only show data up to its most recent refresh.

If you expect a report that you do not see, or a report looks like it is missing recent data, start with the Why a report may not appear section below before contacting support.

Reports at a glance

Report What it covers Refresh cadence Availability
Sales Individual sales transactions for the day, by item Daily Most store configurations
Sales Refund Refund transactions processed for the day, by item Daily Most store configurations
Order / Order Refund Orders and refunds created during the day, by item Daily Selected store configurations
Order Summary Rolling 7-day summary of sales, refunds, and net totals Daily Selected store configurations
Catalog Snapshot of all active/buyable products for your stores Daily All store configurations
Cart Items placed in customers' virtual carts during a session Daily Selected store configurations
Payments (Settlement) Financial settlement and disbursement detail for reconciliation Weekly Selected store configurations

Availability wording such as "selected store configurations" means the report applies to some store setups and not others; it does not indicate an error. See Why a report may not appear.

Sales report

What it is: A daily report of individual sales transactions, based on when each shopping session ended. It lists every item sold that day so you can see net units sold per product, per location.

Refresh cadence: Daily. Each day's run covers the previous day and also re-checks the preceding few days, so late-arriving transactions are picked up automatically without you having to request a re-run.

Typical columns: Store ID, order ID, time zone, purchase date/time (the time the shopping session ended), product title, SKU, currency, price, total price, quantity, transaction type (order or cart), and estimated sales tax.

When to use it: Use the Sales report when you want an itemized, dated record of what sold on a given day. If you only need aggregate totals and trends across the past week, use the Order Summary report or the Sales dashboard instead.

Sales Refund report

What it is: A daily report of refund transactions processed on a given day, itemized by product. It mirrors the Sales report but contains only refunds.

Refresh cadence: Daily, generated alongside the Sales report. Like Sales, it re-checks recent days so late refunds are captured automatically.

Typical columns: Store ID, order ID, time zone, refund date/time, original purchase date/time, product title, SKU, currency, price, quantity, total price, estimated sales tax, product category and subcategory.

When to use it: Use it to reconcile refunds by day and by item. An empty Sales Refund report simply means no refunds were processed that day.

Order / Order Refund report

What it is: A daily report of orders and refunds created during the day, itemized by product. Where the Sales report is organized around when a shopping session ended, this report is organized around when the order or refund was created.

Refresh cadence: Daily, with a built-in 2-day look-back so orders that arrive up to two days late are included automatically.

Typical columns: Store ID, order ID, time zone, transaction date/time, product title, SKU, currency, price, quantity, total price, transaction type (order or refund), estimated sales tax, transaction ID.

When to use it: Use it when you reconcile by order-creation date. For a rolling total view rather than line items, use the Order Summary report.

Availability: This report applies to selected store configurations. If it does not appear for your store, your store is likely configured to use the Sales report family instead. Both cover your itemized transactions.

Order Summary report

What it is: A daily report that summarizes the last 7 days of activity. Instead of listing individual transactions, it gives totals per store and across all your stores.

Refresh cadence: Daily, always covering a rolling 7-day window. Because the window is 7 days, an order that arrives a few days late is reflected in the next day's summary.

Typical columns / metrics: Total sales, order count, average basket size, refund amount, refund order count, net sales, average items per basket, and estimated sales tax — broken out per store and as an all-store total.

When to use it: Use it for a quick health check of the past week without pulling line-item detail. For itemized data, use the Sales or Order report.

Catalog report

What it is: A daily snapshot of all active, buyable products in your stores' catalog. Use it to confirm your catalog is accurate and up to date.

Refresh cadence: Daily. It is a point-in-time snapshot of the catalog as of that day, not a record of transactions.

Typical columns: Store ID, time zone, SKU, product title, product ID (EAN/UPC), price, product category, product subcategory, and status (Active or Archived). A product that carries more than one EAN/UPC appears as more than one row.

When to use it: Use it to validate pricing and product availability, or to spot products showing as Archived when you expect them to be Active. Catalog is available for all store configurations.

Localized values: In some marketplaces the status values appear translated into the local language (for example, French stores show the local-language equivalents of Active and Archived). This is expected.

Cart report

What it is: A daily report of the items customers placed in their virtual cart during a shopping session. Only items with a quantity greater than zero are included.

Refresh cadence: Daily. Unlike the Sales and Order reports, the Cart report does not automatically re-generate earlier days. If data for a past day arrives after that day's report already ran, that day may need a manual refresh — contact support with the store ID and date if you believe a past Cart report is incomplete.

Typical columns: Session day, quantity, SKU, time zone, store ID, session ID, product title.

When to use it: Use it to understand cart/pick-up activity per session. Cart applies to selected store configurations; if your store does not receive a Cart report, that is expected for your store's setup.

Payments (Settlement) report

What it is: A weekly financial report of settled transactions. It is the report you use to reconcile the payments and disbursements you receive against the underlying orders and fees for a settlement period.

Refresh cadence: Weekly, aligned to calendar-week boundaries (Monday–Sunday). Because it is a financial reconciliation report, it is produced once the settlement data for the week is complete.

Typical columns: Settlement ID, settlement start and end dates, deposit date, total amount, currency, transaction type, order ID, store ID, adjustment detail, amount type and description, amount, posted date, order item code, SKU, and quantity.

When to use it: Use it for financial reconciliation — matching deposits to orders and fees. If amounts do not appear to match, first confirm you are looking at the correct settlement week, since a settlement can span a week boundary.

Availability: The Payments report applies to selected store configurations. If your store does not receive a Payments report, that reflects how your store is set up rather than a missing report.

Sales dashboard

In addition to the downloadable reports above, the merchant portal includes a Sales dashboard that refreshes approximately every 30 minutes during the day. It gives you a near-real-time view of sales and item detail, and the sales details and item details can be exported.

When to use it: Use the dashboard when you want an up-to-date view during the day (for example, during a sales event). Use the daily downloadable Sales report when you want the finalized, itemized record for a completed day. The dashboard is a live view; the daily report is the system of record for a closed day.

Refresh timing and late data

  • Daily reports capture the previous day's activity and are typically available in the portal by 5 AM PST.
  • Sales, Sales Refund, and Order reports re-check the most recent days on each run, so transactions that arrive late are picked up automatically within that window.
  • Order Summary always covers a rolling 7 days, so late data appears in a later day's summary.
  • Catalog is a daily snapshot; it reflects the catalog as of the run.
  • Cart does not re-run earlier days automatically. If a past day looks incomplete, it may need a manual refresh.
  • Payments (Settlement) is weekly and is produced once the week's settlement data is complete.

If a report is not yet showing for the current day, first confirm whether enough time has passed for that day's run (daily reports post by ~5 AM PST).

Why a report may not appear, or may look incomplete

Most "missing report" questions fall into one of these cases:

1) The report does not apply to your store's configuration: Not every report applies to every store. Which reports you receive depends on how your store is set up with Amazon. If a report has never appeared for your store, it most likely does not apply to your configuration — this is expected, not an error. The "Reports at a glance" table shows which reports apply broadly versus to selected configurations.

2) Your store's configuration changed: If the way your store is set up with Amazon changes, the set of reports available to it can change as well. A report you used to receive may no longer apply, or a new one may start appearing. If you recently changed your setup and your reports changed, this is expected.

3) The report has not refreshed yet: Each report only shows data up to its latest refresh (see Refresh timing and late data). If you are checking before the day's or week's run, the latest data may not be there yet.

4) There was genuinely no activity: An empty report can simply mean there were no sales, refunds, or cart events for that store on that day.

5) A past day needs a manual refresh (Cart report): Because the Cart report does not re-run earlier days on its own, a past Cart report can be incomplete if data arrived late. Contact support with the store ID and date.

If none of the above explains what you are seeing, contact Amazon support with your store ID, the report name, and the date or date range in question so the issue can be investigated.

Frequently asked questions

Why does another store get a report that mine does not? Because report availability depends on how each store is configured. Different setups receive different reports. See "Reports at a glance" above.

When should I use the Sales report versus the Sales dashboard? See the Sales dashboard section above: use the dashboard for a near-real-time view during the day, and the daily Sales report for the finalized record of a completed day.

A recent order/refund is missing from today's report. Is something wrong? Not necessarily. Sales, Sales Refund, and Order reports re-check recent days on each run, so late transactions are usually picked up automatically within a few days. Check again after the next daily run.

My Payments report amounts do not match what I expected. Confirm you are looking at the correct settlement week. A settlement period can cross a calendar-week boundary, which is the most common reason amounts appear off.

What columns/fields does each report include? See the per-report sections above — each lists the columns you can expect. If you are requesting a field that already exists, it may simply be one you have not used yet.
