Appium uses the automation toolkit to run user interface (UI) tests on your Fire TV Stick or Vega Virtual Device. This page shows you how to set up the testing environment.

Prerequisites:

  1. Complete the steps in Install Appium for Vega Integration.
  2. Set up Fire TV Stick or Vega Virtual Device. For set up instructions, see Run your app on a Fire TV Stick or Run your app on Vega Virtual Device.

Set up Appium

Before you can run your tests using Appium, complete the following steps:
  1. Start the Appium server.
  2. Create a new file to enable service touch on a Fire TV Stick or Vega Virtual Device.
