Since 2017, the Alexa Fund and Techstars have collaborated to offer the popular Alexa Accelerator, powered by Techstars program. The program hosted 27 startups, some of which have gone on to define new modes of interaction with Alexa, such as BluTag and Pulse Labs. After three years of programs, we looked at the feedback from past program participants to evolve the way we deliver our early-stage program. We’ve been working behind the scenes and are excited to now announce our new program, Alexa Next Stage, powered by Techstars.
Next Stage is a new Alexa Fund program aimed at working with startups that are tackling their next stage challenges like raising additional capital, growing teams, and acquiring customers. We’ve built a program designed to specifically address the needs of later-stage companies as they scale and grow their businesses. Topics will include customer retention, team growth, product evolution, and more. Additionally, Alexa experts will provide content and hands-on expertise as program participants build their Alexa experiences in time for the end-of-program Demo Night.
This year, we’re running the program virtually so founders can choose to stay close to home and connected to their networks and customers. The program’s curriculum and workshops will be delivered in real time and participants will attend these sessions together. Like our past program, these sessions offer the opportunity to engage with Amazon and Techstars mentors distributed throughout the major tech hubs around the world so they can help companies address their next scale and growth challenges.
Alexa Next Stage, powered by Techstars, will conclude with a Demo Night event in Seattle in August. This will be the moment that companies from the program will show the business and technology community what they’ve built with Alexa, and the progress they’ve made with their companies.
