Works with Alexa (WWA)
Alexa Connect Kit (ACK) is a managed service option that makes it easy to integrate Alexa into your smart products. With ACK, you don't develop an Alexa skill, manage a cloud service, or implement complex network and security firmware. Instead, you integrate an ACK SDK and SoC/module into your product and pay a one-time fixed cost. With ACK, you don't need deep expertise in multiple wireless protocols. All SDK options integrate wireless command and control communication for you. For all ACK solutions, Amazon provides managed services, software, security, and tools required for ongoing development and management of your Alexa-connected products.
Your customers enjoy the convenience of Alexa device control, Amazon Frustration-Free Setup (FFS), Amazon Dash Replenishment Service (DRS), and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.
ACK provides the following development options. Choose the one that works best for your product.
ACK SDK for Matter
The Alexa Connect Kit SDK for Matter lets you easily add local Matter connectivity to your device and design your hardware with an Amazon-qualified SoC for mass manufacturing. You develop device applications by using the ACK SDK for Matter APIs and adding Alexa capabilities that reflect the desired functionality of your device.
With Matter, Alexa and other Matter-certified smart home assistants can control your device locally, which can reduce latency and improve reliability.
ACK SDK
Start by prototyping your product using ACK SDK and design your hardware with an Amazon-qualified SoC for mass manufacturing. You can choose the level of customization for your device, and implement simple applications with just a few managed callbacks and APIs.
ACK Module
The ACK module is an Amazon-managed system-on-module that you integrate into your device. The module runs firmware that provides connection and communication between your device and ACK managed services.
